Thinks Clio sports are getting like Saxos

Car  PH2 172
Everyone around in my town have either got or buying Clio 172 cups its madness i dont live in a bigtown but theres loads of them now. Its like there becoming saxos everyones getting them lol.
 
Haha theres 5 172 cups in town now 3 racing blue 182s about 4 silver 172s 6 red ones 1 liquid yellow a white 200 its madness
 
They have gotten very popular lately, purely because they are amazing cars for the price.

More and more Ignis Sports are being bought too.
 
Yea most of them round here are driven by teens and i know for definate a few will get written of very soon lol
 
im not a teen and the reason why i have one is for £3.5k its the best fun car you can buy without a doubt :)

i would hope the high insurance group would deter young chavs away but it doesn't!

how can they afford to pay the insurance!
 
I think in ten years or so it may have a rep as good as the 205gti with not many left in good condition, well 1*2s but I'm prob talkin sh1t
 
Haha they prob sell drugs and pay for there insurance that way lmao. Only had my new cup for about 3 months and allready thinking i shouldnt of got another cup.
 
They still quite rare in bournemouth i rarly see any apart from my friend who has a 182 to aswel.
I think insurance for them has got cheaper as i never thought before at 19 with no no claims i would be able to insure a 2.0 let alone 182! could be why your seeing more about
 
How can mark 2's get more common though?

If they stopped making them back around '05/06. Surely from then there would only ever be less on the road, ones getting broken/taken off the road/writen off?

Do see a fair few but it's the same principal of attention. When I was learning to drive I used to see loads of learners about, when my Dad got a new car I saw loads of them around.

Just a thought.
 
this is the reason i am keeping mine totally standard and in as good condition as i can. in a years time when daddy turns up with his cheque book to buy one for his son/daughter, it will be mine that he wants.

plus the fact i am too old to drive a modified car as i would look a right chopper!!!!!
 
If you want your car to be rare, move to ireland, think there are no more than 10 clio sports in the whole country

thats quite true, my friend points out a car and then for the rest of the day all i see is that car....:S
 
They will never get as chavy as Saxo VTR's unless the owners are retarded enough to pay 3k on insurance.
 
There either un insured or on pay monthly insurance with chavs just about paying the £200 a month i have seen many like it. Sooner or later clios will become like saxo's just few more years untill they drop down to around 2kish
 
See a couple of 172 cups around Leicester quite regularly :)

Haven't seen another silver cup on the road yet though
 
Same happens with every hot hatch, they get cheap, chavs buy them/ruin them/crash them, they then get bored and move onto something else. Then all the ones that were left mint become rare and sought after.
 
Yup, i agree i went to town yesterday and there was a RB,Trophy,and a titanium one, their everywhere,
 
172s are common round here but not so much 182s.
Only know of 2 other 182s near me

Oh and too say how many people have RB 182s on here/renault sport etc....I've never seen one on the road in my life which seems strange! lol

Although i did see another flamer in town the other day. Where are all the others?
 
I only see another 1*2 maybe once a week and living in the city i'd expect to see more.

Mainly silver or artic ones,

My mates just brought a 172 cup mates just brought a LY 182 mates just brought a 200 mate with the RB also has a cup my other mate has the flamer your prob thinking of and GFs bro has a monaco so has his mate lol its bit mental
 
There's more than there ever was, less if anything so don't understand why peops think they're getting more common?
