This fell off my car. Where does it go ??

After a short drive the other day I heard a rattle coming into my street. Luckily just as I was coming up to my house I heard something drop. Can anybody tell me what it is and where it goes.
Im a little concerned at the guide hole. Obviously something was running through the hole which is now gone also I assume.
Any help would be appreciated so I can go about fixing it.

Its a engine hoist point/enigne cover securing peice. Its not important, so don't worry really.

@Addicted Thanks for editing that pic for me. I did it when I was off shore and the internet connection was so slow. I am just home now to fix it and you have done it already. Much appreciated.

@AlexW Thanks for you comment. I noticed a slight burning smell when I was driving up my street to park her up. Could this be a totally different issue and coincidental ?
There is definitely nothing that goes through that 'guide hole' ?

rear top left engine lifting hook. keep it safe , but dont worry, it doesnt hold anything on.

Its not an actual guide hole, just for putting a engine hoist onto to pull the engine out.
Burning smell won't have been connected.

unless the screws have lodged themselves in a position where they are rubbing on the belt!
