Wasnt sure which section to stick this in so here goes

At the minute I'm busy putting the clio on a diet, I'm not going silly I.e chopping parts of the panels out as one day it will be returned to a road car when I get bored.

I'm wondering what people have removed to get them as light as possible.

At the minute I've got rid of

Rear seats and rear trim,
Headlining
Sound proofing (the little the cup has)
Acoustic valve
Now running de-cat
Lighter wheels (Superleggera's)
Carbon bonnet
Fog lights removed
Driver airbag

So far I've lost 60kg's and the car is currently weighing at 980kg's

Just wondering where to remove things next, thinking passenger airbag and rear wiper to maybe lose another 10kg

Centre console
Carpets and every piece of trim you can remove.

I also went as far as removing the wiring for the interior light, steering wheel controls and everything that was not being used.

Sorry to bring this up from the dead, ^^ what is that solid metal lump all about? I thought it was something to do with balancing but could be wrong.

Oh awesome prob the easiest 5kg to take out good man Russ :), take it the car would be like a rattle box if it was to have uprated engine and gearbox mounts also.

Anyone done both and is it bearable?

Also just to update, the car was 950kg when I removed a couple more things like standard front seats in replace of 1 bucket, no passenger airbag etc. Still had carpets, front doorcards and dash in the car
