Thrid Party Xbox HD

Microsoft have been locking down on people who have modded Xbox's.

A friend from work has just ordered a "Thrid Party" Hard Drive 120gb... Will Microsoft be able to find out that it's thrid party and then block him?

I think they will - he think they wont.

Has anyone got banned for doing the above?

I'm sure I heard somewhere that they were clamping down on people using 3rd party HDs. Can't remember where so don't quote me on that.

3rd Party HDD's will be unusable when the new update comes out, was meant to be the 17th but i think it will be tomorrow.
