can any body post up a guide on fitting throttle bodies to 172/182. all i know is you need the phs 1 throttle cable and linkage to do it on the later models.
before any body says it shud be done by some one whos knows what there doing ;-), im a land rover tec and quite fanncie trying it on my car myself.

also what various options of throttle bodies are avilible on the market, and which ones offer greater drivability and performance.

Nathan, i dont think its difficult to fit them, its just that you need a new wiring loom and ecu to run them, thats where the difficult part is.

most ecu manufacturers will make u a loom for a few extra quid.

and wayne at chip wizards is the man to map it.

I suppose there's no way of removing the electronic throttle actuator from the side of the old single throttle body and grafting it onto the end of new multi-throttle body set up. After all it does the same thing. It rotates a shaft 90 degrees.

You could physically link it together with a bit of excessive engineering. But the problem will be getting an ecu to work with the multi potentiometer system required, and controlling an output as well as an input from the pedal. Then there are safety issues on failure etc.

Plus you can feel with a cable.

Nathan, just drop me an email or PM and i'll provide full instruction on how to fit and wire the bodies up.
