who makes the new fitting brakets for coil pack and crank sensor etc... can u get them separate??

  ITB'd MK1
because that car hasn't got the full kit fitted. It was built some time before the kit was finished

so when was the kit made difrent ?

as it was only put together 2 months ago :S :S :S :S :S

The kit is brand new NOW, and Mats car was built 4 months ago. Mats car is also massively different in spec. The new ITB kit is designed to go on a standard engine which the race car is anything but. going to say it for the 3rd time, it's a constantly changing car and it's having the nice new parts fitted as and when we see the car or the need to make changes. The car was built to a deadline to get on track for time attack, the kit wasn't built to a deadline

lol, yeah, you met me, you were the shy lad looking at Paul's car. Laura told me who you were after.

Shy? Lol, wtf! Im anything but shy!
Were you the guy who said "its definately TDC sensor as the rev counter isn't moving"??

It was the fuel pump fuse, put a new one in and it fired up ;)
Keeps popping them though....

OK so what happened to the AT Power DTH Throttle Bodies http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=289501&highlight=atp was going to blow the jenvey out the water and was going on FMP's car but No it has jenvey on it and the dick's got that wrong thejesus car having the jenvey as well strange

BenR commissioned them and when the prototypes were sent to him, he said they weren't right. AT then sold the rights to GDI as they wanted to sell them. LOw and behold, they dont make the right power as the guy that commissioned them, never got to finish them, even after saying for them to be designed....

I said it deffinitely looked like TDC sensor as it had the same symptoms, but alas I'm no mechanic... I dont have to be, I dont pay GDI to do stuff to my car and then do what I'm paying them to do myself because a simple job has taken over 16 months and cost a ridiculous amount. In that time I could however learn to become a fully competent mechanic and then some. I could actually map your car for you now if it was on an Omex, why couldn't Ben?

Ben couldn't afford to buy the AT's, he couldn't afford to pay his staff at the time either. As for why I'm not using them, simple really, I'm having bigger ITB's than they offer due to the level of headwork I'm having. I had the choice.
They are however currently on a number of Duratec engines and making excellent power... but you knew that already I suppose? ;)

It's not an OMEX. It IS being mapped, when the rollers are spare and Rob is present. Same process as Andy.

Timescales are shocking, agreed but TBF it looks so so so much neater than anything at FCS, install wise. This isnt a GDI-AWT arguement, its a GDI installs looked s**t at FCS FACT.

yeah here's one on it panning my mates Scooby

Will have to dig some pics out when I get home.

K-Tec's ITB conversion looked fantastic! It was a work of art!

I don't doubt that the GDI kit is good, but it looks so messy.

What are the reasons for this? Is the K-Tec kit a Jenvey?

What exactly was messy? You're referring to the black demo car that taken apart regularly to try different parts (that way YOU dont end up being the guinea pig).

Ask K-tec who did their loom to make it look so nice too ;) I realise your of the "anti GDI no matter what" fanclub, but with all due respect you dont actually know the first thing about ITB's or modding cars full stop. Looking pretty doesn't help you go faster, but if you think a customer car would go out like a 'demo' car (demo being the key word here) then your more foolish than you look. Fastest car at FCS was FMP's 172, 5 seconds a lap FASTER than the touring car fyi
put a reply but its not showed... so cba

Christopher - just to say you are so full of s**t your breath smells. You only come on technical threads to big your mates efforts up and the fact you were too much of a pussy to come and ask in person sums you up perfectly. Oh, tech question for you genuis, where would YOU put an air temp sensor? In the glove box?
Wrong way to talk to people asking genuine questions and I've had enough. bye bye

Lets make this a little more to the point. :) None of the cars on the stand actually had the full kit fitted, so you wern't actually looking at the full kit.

The demo car is still using the loom it's had for ages that's had a lot of things changed over time, but will be having a different loom again to the kit as it's going a stage furthur (the whole point of the car being to push it and do different things) Unfortunately we had to open up the loom late in the day when the renault crank sensor died (prime example of why we use a different sensor in the kit) and we didn't have the plug and play loom for the new sensor so had to splice it about to get to the MOT next morning (still didn't have a bonnet at this point FYI) Unfortunate lack of time meant we didn't get to just smooth the edges :(

Ultimately the black car is a continuous work in progress, there will be no standard engine loom or ECU there at all quite soon so it will be ultra stealth.

The race car (FMP_) is as Mat has said, also a work in progress which will be having plenty more done between races and events.
ahhh a genuine answer without hostility, very refreshing cheers Danny :)

FFS! Why does this happen all the time, this thread is closed but will stay on the forum as an example. Hostility like that shown in this thread from ANY members will receive infractions EVERY TIME...
