throttle won't work. just ticks over at 2000rpm

was on a track day pushing hard then the car just suddenly lost power! will start and tick over at 1000rpm then after about a minute it rises to 2000rpm and thats it. throttle won't work at all!?
changed throttle body and pedal, and checked wiring and seems ok.

any help would be appreciated?!?!

Accelerator sensor - look under the accelerator pedal

sorry just to add - could be the brake sensor too but more likely the accelerator sensor.

changed the pedal with the sensor thing on. its a 172 cup btw

It's not the pedal, nor the TB. It'll be wiring related I'm afraid so check all connections are tight, clean and free from corrosion.

OBD reader shows throttle position sensor CIRCUIT!

Probably big white connector in fuse box,but if you can`t see it,take it to Mick up the road at Diamond Motors in Long Eaton.
If you go for a meal,he`ll have sorted by the time you come back.

We do fix a few of these each month. Simple enough but you really need a scope to prove you've actually "fixed" it

its working fine again now! left the ecu unplugged all night and it seems to have reset it?
checked that white plug already as i have a 'custom' fuse box so can see it :tonguewink:
