£35 quid posted is a more than reasonable price for the quality of these grips,
I love mine they feel like they've always been there.

We will be looking at £35 for a pair of grips posted to mainland UK first class.

If people think it's a little high for a couple pieces of plastic just consider each set of grips roughly take 2 hours to make and factor in materials, postage ( £1.95 ) & packing. Not to mention the £££ spent on materials / time trying to get these made!!!!

I could collect mine and save on the P&P. LOL. ;)

Is that £35 each or £35 after the group buy discount (if there is one)?

There you go ;)

For £35 you will get both a left and right grip;)

There will be no discount for the group buy as it's mainly to find how well the grips are received and test the water to become a trader.

This is why foruming in a rush is a bad idea haha. My apologies. I didn't mean each as in singularly I meant one pair to buy direct from the seller and how much for it in a group buy. If that makes sense. It's all cleared up now though.

£35 is the price regardless of a group buy

He hasn't even started making them yet and there's already talk of discount! :S

Might be better to sell them through ebay and be done with it.

How much is traders fee? £250?

1 transaction on eBay would cost at £35 with free postage.

1 x paypal fee - £1.44
1 x eBay fee - £3.50

£4.94 per unit to sell on ebay

You'd have to sell over 50 units on here before selling on eBay becomes the more expensive option.

Food for thought? I guess...

(I hope I've worked that out right) :p

Totally agree Darius, that's why we have made contact with the Admin and see how a group buy goes first ;)

To be honest my first thought was going eBay but after seeing over 2000 hits for this post started to think the selective market might be here then the traders member looks better value, time will tell :)

Well.. I still want a set. I got a new wheel with a good set on but i want to refurb my old wheel to look new! so i need a set :D

Out of interest would you consider selling them individually too?

No, not really. Your wheel would look odd with one OEM grip and one of these.
The grips are made in pairs so that they match colour wise so I'd be stuck with a load of odd grips.

When I used to sell a (fairly) niche car product I used ebay and specialist forums, and I sold 95% through ebay. Whilst the initial hit of forum users interested will be high, the continual trade would be restricted.
If its something you plan on doing for more than a 6 month stint, get yourself a single page website set up (£10 for domain and use a free webhost) and sell though that. Once youve got a decent google search rating (which for something as niche as this wont take long) you will get a fair few hits for little outlay. Set up a paypal payment page and you wont pay the ebay or trader fees.

Massive thanks to Russo

Fitted mine today, the fitting of them is great. I used to grimace at the thought of using the wheel but now I can't wait for going for a drive later.

Thanks dude. 2 thumb(grip)s up from me

If anyone wants a set of thumb grips then drop me a PM.

Big thanks to all the people who bought them and hope they give you many years trouble free driving.

I'm thinking of coating mine somehow so it has a softer feel, got any ideas on what I could try @Russo
dann2707 I've tried some of the liquid rubber products and they do give a softer rubber feel to the grips but weren't suitable. Needed something that was a little firmer to hold its shape and hard wearing.
See the MB Fibreglass website and something like this might be what your looking for , http://www.mbfg.co.uk/polyurethane-rubbers/pt-flex-50-rubber.html

But please note that being a rubber product read the technical documents and you'll see that it will 'dry and chalk' when exposed to UV sunlight and not sure how well the rubber will stick or wear.
