Time estimates for fitting drive train - help please

K

kiwiclio

I am looking for some help with a (rough) estimate of time it might take to fit a replacement drivetrain...let me explain...

Have a Cup gearbox, Quaife ATB, new lightened flywheel and clutch that want to fit into ITB'd Phase 1 172 now in tarmac rally spec (attached pic shows one reason for wanting ATB in - that was expensive!...) There's not a lot of experience with Clio's here in New Zealand - and while the engineer is very competent - he isn't able to put his arms around how long it might take - and time is of course money...

Things are made slightly easier as the engine is out of the car (broke a valve, destroyed the piston, scored the block...so a replacement engine is to be built...but that's another story). The main unknown is time to fit the Quaife - but any help/ideas across all the work would be very much appreciated...

With thanks,
Martin

  182cup & 172 racecar
Tricky one,the crown wheel needs welding to the diff,Quaife do offer to do this, but that would involve shipping etc.

Its a gearbox man you need to see really, all other stuff is straight forward.
