Tinted sunscreen?

Are sunstrips legal? and whats the legality issues around them? I personally cant stand the matt coloured ones with huge gay fonts on and bright colours...

however ive been looking at getting one thats a light / medium tint, as sun glare is actually a pissing nightmare and i also think it wouldnt look too bad / chavvy.

But everywhere only does opaque sunstrips, no tinted see through ones, well if they are there funny colours like

- "see through metalic green" or "tinted metalic blue"

eurgh. suggestions?

Im thinking of buying some tinting film that youd normally use for tinting a whole car, and asking a sign company to cut and place it?

I have some but for some reason dont like wearing them when i drive, unless i absolutely have to.
