Tips on fitting FARB inner bushes

Today I changed I replaced the inner and outer FARB bushes to poly bushes, managed to release the inside ones, but having difficulty trying to put the bolt back into the C clamp, I have measured the bushes and they are the correct parts. Any tips on how to do this easily?

Cheers

Slightly elongate the hole on the c clamp then use longer bolts. You can do it with mole grips but good luck.

I will never do them again lol.

Cheers guys will try the methods later.

Addaman, its the inner ones, you need a goose neck spanner and a normal one to get to the bolts, but putting the C clamps on is a hole new experience.

A long with spinning rear sub frame bolt, im having lots of fun lol

Yeah, it's a fiddly cnut of a job.

Last time i did them, i used a pair of mole grips, locked them off holding the C clamp in place then loosely threaded the bolts in. Awkward as f**k though.

Piece of piss (with the subframe off)... its a horrible job and as above, longer bolts make it so much easier.

Longer bolt method works a treat

Find some bolts about an inch longer - use them to pull the bracket up to place, then I put a g-clamp on it to stop it moving, removed the long bolt and fitted the normal one.

Wasn't too hard even on my back on the driveway

Done it now, used the longer bolts and used a heavy duty G-clamp, worked a treat.

p.s the subframe was on but wishbones was off, so made it a bit easier, I also have the ARB tied up to take up the slack from the C clamps.
