To anyone who has a non standard head unit and steering wheel controls

I have just purchased myself an alpine 9855r and was wondering which bits i need to be able to use my steering wheel controls and which allow you to still see what radio station etc you are on with the original display.

Im pretty sure i have seen a picture of someones dash that had an alpine head unit and it said radio1 on his display.

you have a choice of 2 adapters... one for £50 odd which will say "alpine" in the display, one for well over £100 which will function as normal.

alrite buddy, ive got an Alpine head unit and it displays radio station info fine, don't need anything extra. However, it wont display the ID3 tags on CD's liits meant to, and you cant use the radio stalk on the sttering wheel, not that big a deal though IMO
