To cup or not to cup??

I’m afraid I’m suffering from an age old predicament, do I buy a Clio 172 with all the toys including leather seats or do I buy the race prepared cup version in the stunning blue colour? Do they make non Cup 172’s in the cup colour, and were leather seats ever an option in the cup? Cheers:S

Leather was never an option in a 172 Cup and the 172 Cup blue only comes on that model

Sounds like your best option is a 182 with 'Cup packs' that way you get the 5mm lower suspension and the leather you mention above

The Cup wasn't race prepared it just had a lighter spec and slightly different suspension.

I owned a 172 cup once and my mum has a 182..with both cup packs..

so im not biased in anyway at all...but..the cup was better for driving at 10/10ths

dont know why..felt more agile...steering felt more precise..back end more controllable on lift off oversteer..

add to the fact that you can save £2000 on a cup over a 182...then get fixed buckets and coilovers on it

trophy is no fast then the 182 just comes with better seats an its about 1000 more then a 182. if ya bothered about money just get a 172 sport still comes with all toys an just as fast as 172 cup not much differnce in promance

Seriously mate, you're better off trying to test drive a couple.

Becuase you won't get an impartial answer from here. All the hardcore Cup owners will say get a Cup, all the FF drivers will say get an FF. Been done one million million times before.
