Today I....

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
Sprayed my engine manifold and fuel rail guard as well as bodge repair my heatshield :D mwahhhhh lol

I'm afraid ive got no before pictures of the engine, but basically the previous owner had started sanding it and gave up half way so was looking rather tatty. I was only speaking to Middo a couple of weeks ago about getting it polished but decided to try something a bit different instead.

I also slapped my stainless strut top covers on, look very good imo. Unfortunately i cant leave the engine cover on for the minute as to take it off i had to use a chisel to remove 2 of the screws the held it on as they would not budge. Also as you can see one of the pins that hold the inlet manifold on snapped so need to replace that lol.

I also noticed i had a really bad rattle when shutting the boot and at low revs. So i had a scout around and foudn that the exhaust heatshield had snapped in THREE places. Could not believe it. So heres how it got repaired....

And the poor object that sacrifised itself to repair the 182 lol.

Good Work.... I had the same problem with my Exhaust Heat Shield and I just found up some Huge Washers to Fix it

I'm liking the Arctic and Black Combo :)

Engine cover doesn't look bad i must agree ;)

Figured with the spraying...if i didnt like it i could always respray it or then get it polished as i originally planned to.

nice mate....where did you get the strut top covers, ive gotta get me some of these

I bought them from Impey (a CS member). However you can buy them from Hillpower for around £22 posted.

Well worth it imo, although eventually i would like to get a proper top mount kit.

Pretty easy mate, i found guide on here somewhere a while ago although cant remember where. its basically 10 bolts and undo all the cables and sensors. takes about 15mins to do.

Spraying is easy just dont spray to close just keep making light passes with the spray can until its all covered also make sure you mask up in places where sensors etc connect to.

I got the renault sport badge on the manifold shiny again by just giving it a few passes with my detailing sander. job done
