tom tom one help

i plug it into comp, it says do you want to connect, i click yes.
Then it says like dotn touch, then goes onto a white and orange screen with a pic of tom tom one with a lead going into it and a silver screen.
I click update on my comp and the screen just stays like it is, no change.

anyone know why?

Install the TOMTOM Home software from the website
