Tomtom one v3

anyone got one?

bought my dad a tt one v2 last year for xmas, seemed fine. useful to have sd slot so we could put euro maps on etc... look at getting the gf a v3 for xmas but reading it doenst come with slot which means buying a uk one doesnt come with large enough memory to support euro maps.

Appart from that how much better is the v3 over the v2?

Map share etc...

can the V2 software be updated to the v3 software?

I plugged mine in to update the camera locations at the weekend (V2) and it installed the latest software - need to buy an up to date map to allow it to use the mapshare though.

Yes the V3 software is available as a download and is happily running on my TT One XL.

The 720 is the mutts nuts!

Use it with your phone etc..... I have not even started to use half the features!

Not looking at spending silly amounts, the one seems the best price for what is going to be used for.

Suppose its down to the price of the v3 v the v2. can you still buy v2's. Also how much are the latest maps with map share?

v3 software works with the latest maps which are bundled with the V2 units. Mapshare etc all work on my One XL.

Just doing some more research.

Choice is now between TomTom Go V3 or Navman S50.

Navman comes with Bluetooth handsfree, looks pretty nice but is a little more expensive than the go. However the cheapest TomTom with bluetooth is the 520 which costs over £200.

Whats peoples thoughts on the Navman S series?
