TOMTOM RDS-TMC TRAFFIC RECEIVER, anyone got one of these for there tomtom, just bought one off ebay for £30, mainly for the feaure that re-routes you when thers a jam, had a look on my tomtom and you can do something with a weather feature, speed cameres and a few other things. just would like to know what you can do with it.

I bought one a couple of years ago. My tomtom recognised it, but didn't lock on to a signal, so I didn't use it for about a year. I then tried it again and DID get a signal, for about a week, then my satnav stopped recognising it.
Further research on t'internet told me that this is entirely normal for this product and tomtom's attitude is basically, 'tough sh1t'.

ooo well, this is a brand new tom tom and brand new traffic thing so hopefully it will work ok.

I've got one, never had a problem with it. When there's traffic it beeps & comes up with 'traffic' on the screen then re-routes.
