Fiat Uno Turbo I.E

Did anyone own one of these. A bl**dy amazing car. That turbo was so much fun :D.

Had a motorway race against a Renault 5 GT turbo and passed him at over 120 mph.

Oh the good old days.
a mate of mine had one of the first uno turbos, excellent engine, was still on the original turbo at 130k. only problem was that they tended to rust rather quickly, and in the end the engine fell out!

heres my list

1) pug 205 1.9 gti - better than the golf

2) golf mk1 gti - the original but bettered by the pug

3) r5 gt turbo - amazingly light car because its made out of tin foil

4) clio 172 - the first of the new breed

5) escort RS turbo - turbo nutter car

  1.6 Focus, 1.6 122S

No particular order:

Lotus Sunbeam

Clio Williams 1

Clio Cup

Mk1 Escort RS2000

Mk2 Golf GTi

seems many people have put the VTS in the top 5 which suprises me. I thought most people hate them.

Anyways I am currently thinking along the lines of a VTS for myself. Are they as good fun as a valver?

bambam1, - I was starting to think all Uno Turbo drivers had died and gone to heaven. Perhaps you and me are the last remaining survivors. ;)

Police said I was lucky to survive my crash. Glad I did though, or I would have never got to drive my 172.

  Clio 200 Cup packed

1-3 coz ive had em

4-5 would consider buying

1. Clio 182

2. 306 GTI-6

3. 205 GTI

4. Focus RS

5. Alfa 147 GTA (who cares if the dealers are arses, the electrics are poor and residuals suck, this thing is simply stunning)

1. Ford Racing Puma

2. 205 GTI

3. Clio 182

4. Clio V6 (any)

5. Integrale Evo 2

Cant believe no one has got FRP on their list? I know its a coupe looking car, but its probably the hottest handling small car ever made.

Mk 1 golf gti

Ren 5 GT Turbo

Clio v6

Nissan Sunny GTI-R (just to be different)

Clio 172 Mk1

Isnt the escort cossie a hatch that would be my no.1

Well Ive bought a Williams 2 to replace my 309 GTI but I still think the best hot hatch ever was the Integrale......

I sold mine last Xmas cos it was too expensive to use everyday plus I kept having to race every motorbike I came across.

The Integra Type R, 205 1.9 GTI and MK2 Golf GTI are also contenders I think.

Matt.

1. Clio Williams - best balance of power and ability out there (honorary mention to 16V)

2. Lancia Delta Integrale Evo - err...

3. Peugeot 205 GTi - 1.6 or 1.9... you decide

4. Renault Clio V6 - for the balls to produce something this crazy

5. Lotus Sunbeam - old timer
