Clio 2 1.4 16v 2005
Good afternoon,
I've had my clio 1.4 16v on the lift yesterday and found quite some up and down play in the wheel. It moves the whole control arm with it, so I believe it narrows down to the top mounts.
The top mounts have been replaced about 2 years ago, or about 50k km ago, when I replaced the struts and springs.
This thread has been very helpful for me. I believe i have the old style mounting with the new style top hat (with integrated lock nut and extra protrusion on the bottom)

Are the doughnuts known to be of bad quality and sag through, creating play? are there any better quality parts available?
MOT is around the corner and I think it will fail because of this.
