Just investigating my wooly handling and found this. (the fag is there to emphasize the gap)

I'm right in thinking that this is really not right is it? New mount time?

Cheers.

doesnt that mean that your suspension is loose or not tightend properly

When i was getting my springs put on my car we had to obv take the suspension off and disconnect it and it looked simmilar to that.?

But dont take my word just an observation.

I haven't touched the suspension since I bought the car, and I can't think that it's worked it's way loose...

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be great.

Take the wheel off and take alook at the suspension, make sure all the bolts are tight.

Thats fine, gap looks a bit bigger than normal, like its got the washers in that stop the top mount knocking. If the gap wasn't there you wouldnt be able to steer!

If you want to be sure try to tighten the upper rubber.

Do you get a knocking from the suspension?

Issit the same on the other side? If not maybe someone has taken the suspension apart and forgot to put the rubber mount on the underside back on. Ive done this before.

Just a though Olly

No, that's 100% fine.

You can try to tighten it up with a alen key and swan neck spanner, but if it doesn't go any tighter, don't worry in the slightest.

The purpose of that top piece is to stop the suspension falling out of the suspension turret, not to be held tight to anything.

Awesome, thanks guys! I shall not worry about it now. Had a mate look it over who work for euro car parts and he said the same. Mother's bf also echoed that so I shall just have the arb bushes replaced this time around.
