yesterday I got my new suspension kit for my race car
This is rather professional kit prepared for competition.
I have a question for drivers who are using their Clio's as a rally car.
The point is that I haven't had any top mounts before and, till yesterday, I used to use B14(but it was mounted using normal strud rod rubber bushings). Now after I bought my new kit I wanted to 'install' it in my car. Then, I noticed that a hole in a place to fit shock absorber mounts is too big for the top mounts/uniballs of my new suspension kit. When I compared them, it seems the diameter of the car's hole fits almost perfectly with uniball's holes what makes it unable to mount... I think I may know how to solve it but I don't know whether my idea is worth enough to be used.

After a few conversations I had with a few more experienced drivers I got an idea to use pads. It seems good, isn't it? Then, what thickness of pads should I use? Is 3mm enough or would you use 5mm or even more? Any suggestions?
