Just brought some second hand coilovers, I removed from the other car which had them fitted with standard top mounts, as he says none cane with the kit. I removed not thinking, now I'm refitting the coilovers mine I have noticed that it wouldn't fit in the spring.
With the standard strut, the topmount sits inside the spring as it's wider obviously. But the coilover springs are a lot thinner so it will only sit on top, at a slight angle.
When I let the car down will the force of the car on top of the topmount push it inside the spring or end up making it all sit pissed?
Any ideas how I should go about it?
