Top mounts or something similar?

Hi all recently my car is developing a very annoying noise when dry steering for example. It makes a knocking sound on the drivers side when the steering wheel is turned. This only does it at slow speed or no speed at all. Also when I pull away and try to steer right, I can only go right on the steering wheel a certain amount then I can not steer more untill the car is moving...

Any advice on what this is and whether it's dangerous to drive it like this?

Try jacking the drivers side up and check for any play.

Could maybe a bit of play in the track rod end or ball joint?

Yeah, I'm planning to do this tomorrow but im not confident in my ability to figure out whats wrong with it.

You will feel movement, you could get a monkey to check it
