topping up antifreeze

im having a blonde moment so please help.......my coolant level is really low,so can i just top it up or do i need to top it up and then bleed the system.....ta

just top it up, make sure you get the correct type so it doesnt cancel each other out!

There should already be an OAT type AF in it, what colour is it?

If you dont know when the coolant was last changed and it looks an odd colour it may be a perfect opportunity to change the coolant.

thing is i had a new rad put in back in april...but the coolant level is just above the low mark,the rad isnt leaking,no pipes leaking,no mayo in the oil cap so im guessing the garage at the time filled the coolant then ran the engine but didnt top the coolant back up,so i just wanted to know if it was ok for me to do this,what is the coolant that i need to get
