Torsion bar lowering.

Bought a s2 106 gti the other week and needing the torsion bar lowered at the back.

Does anyone know where i can get it done? Im struggling to get anyone in Aberdeen to touch it. I realise ecosse do it but there in bo-ness :S a wee bit far tbh.

Any ideas?

If it's anything like the williams, it's no hard to do, is there not a guide somewhere?

Aye had a look at 3 guides mate. I know exactly how to do it just cant be bothered with the hassle tbvh. I took me an hour and a half on saturday afternoon to get the ofcentred washers out. The hard part is getting the bars out.

Might give it one more bash on saturday if i cant find somewhere to do it :dapprove:

Done that mate. Yeah been to about 6 (good reputation) garages in Aberdeen, nobody wants to get involed with it lol. Went to a pug specialist and even he said that they were a ball ache. Quoted me several hundreds to do the job. Wasnt up for that as ecosse (in bo-ness) do the job for £80.

There might be a guy at my pals work that is very good at doing them, just waiting to here back from him

they've always been pretty decent to me like.

I got my eibachs put on my clio there to and even managed to sell them my standard springs as they knew someone after some. Sold them for more than the eibach's cost me lol - WIN
