sorry about title typing error

Hi guys,



I am planning on doing a total engine build on a 172 cup which will be my track car. I used to have a 182 and have done a motorsport engineering course a couple of years ago so I have a fairly decent knowledge on clio's annd general engine/ tuning . Im basically looking for some guides and advice on how to build the engine up im planning on going for hi comp pistons (will i need rods) up rated cam shafts valve springs , and if im feeling extra brave I might do i port and polish job as I have a spare head basically a total rebuild oh and some throttle bodies for good measure (used to have them on the 182 want the noise back). Just after as much info as I can get had a look on the forum but cant find any specific guides mechanically I think i should be able as i have built a couple of engines but never attempted anything on a engine this new or such a large project

DIY headwork ftw give it a go (i did )

Spend time getting crank oil clearances, squish, piston ring end gaps and the like correct and you'll have a strong engine.
