tow eyes legal requirement ?

im getting quite a bit of smoothing done on my c2 but im not sure wether on the front and rear bumpers the covers for the tow eyes can be smoothed over ? it would look much better but i dont want to fail a mot etc

I guess not... has nothing to do with roadworthy.

??? You dont need a spare to pass mot? Or is that not what your saying?!

You don't need one for MOT. Therefore it's not a legal requirement

But when you break down - do you really want to be taking your bumper off to get recovered? PITA if you ask me

can they not put a rope / chain if being recovered under the subframe ? hre must be alternatives to loading a car onto the back of a truck

You could do that... but if the towing mechanism is higher than the point you're securing it on you will have too acute an angle & the tow rope will pull on the bottom of your bumper - most likely ripping it off.
