Does anyone know what pressure suits the Toyos on track?
Yep. Agree.Quote: Originally posted by 172loony on 07 January 2004
great in the dry and poop in the wet imo
ditto... and the toyos get progressivly worse in the wet as the tread goes down (still well above legal though)Quote: Originally posted by Daz on 07 January 2004

No offence, but theres a massive difference between getting the power down in a 1.2 and in a 2.0 mate...Quote: Originally posted by Black Fox on 07 January 2004

In the wet, I have trouble getting the power down in my 1.2 in 1st and 2nd gear..Quote: Originally posted by Rich-D on 07 January 2004

The extra power and torque are a big problem!
Get the F1s - they are *superb*.Quote: Originally posted by 007 on 07 January 2004
Maybe most of my tyres have been rubbish but ive found my Toyos fine in the wet. They came out as the best wet tyre in the Evo test I think.
In the damp they are rubbish.
In the dry I dont think they are a patch on my old A539s but they were pathetic in the wet.
Ive had
Mich Pilots - they were shocking Agree - my mums got them and they are crap with a capital F...
Mich VX (I think thats what they were called - for-runner to pilots) - they were good.
Pirelli - P600 - bad bad bad
Pirelli - P7000 - pretty bad
Toyos - average dry - good wet
A539s - Superb dry - shocking wet
Bridgestone S0-2s seem to be the most reccomended tyre made but were discontinued - noise regs I think - and replaced with the not so good S0-3s.
Seen different reports in the GSD3s - may get them next although they won the Evo test it was for how they felt to the drivers but the grip in the dry and wet was bettered by others.
Pity I threw out the test - DOH!
Oh the tyres have been mostly on different cars so that could make a big difference I guess.
So imagine what its like for us...Quote: Originally posted by Daz on 07 January 2004

No offence taken, but if its wet whats all this about getting the power down. Drive to suit the conditions, not like a nutter.Quote: Originally posted by Daz on 07 January 2004
