Cheers Porkie. We had looked at the Federals and will probably go for them in the future. The T1R were £35 a corner so that swayed the decision to get us going and see how we get on on track. We are both trackday novices so hopefully they will do us fine for a while until we see where we are at (hopefully not spinning off into oblivion haha). Ah sorry, I missed you guys are new to track days - having a less grippy tyre is a good thing, gives you a chance to learn the car at a lower speed - in fact on track I much prefere road tyres - I am kinda in the minority but a tyre like a Yoko Prada or even better a G/year Eagle F1 (RIP in 195/50/15 size ) or Pirelli PE2 I find are great fun, as you can still carry decent enough speed but with enough adjustability to really get the car moving around under you and having fun.
After all, it's all about having fun, notbeing the fastest
