transfering music to ipod

how do i create a zip file on windows media player 11? i'm trying to put music onto the girlfriends i pod, cant install the cd that came with it, think its becaise my computers old and s**t, do i need to create a zip file or am i barking up the wrong tree?

also how do you go about putting the music onto a disc for mp3?

download itunes off the internet. www.apple.com/itunes i think, if thats not right just put it in google. Thats the only way to do it as far as i know, through itunes.

You can also use itunes to burn discs if you have a cd writer. Would also recommend roxio easy media creator which is really good for that and easy to use.
