Ah, mate... gutted for you. Theres plenty out there for sale if need be (i hope its not necessary).

Just curious... how much tread did you have on them? Apparently, its quite common for tyres to go like that when theyre wearing thin.

yea, Im not too bad, badly bruised right thumb and the airbag caught my watch and dragged it up my arm until the strap broke half way up...so a few cuts too.

I dont know if the insurance co. will write it off or not....????? it needs a new front bumper, wing, trye, alloy is a bit damaged, two airbags, it looks to have bent the subframe and the wishbone.

Thing is, even the airbag replacement is gonna cost a lot:

New top for dash = £400-£500
Airbags - £500(ish) each

Plus also, if your airbags went off, chances are the seatbelt pretensioners went off as well, so they need replacing.

And thats all before you start on the exterior.

Did almost the same thing a 3 weeks (ish) go - only Chair Airbag Blew, but all my Seat Belt Tensioners as well (all 5).

Including the Damage to the "Subframe/Chassis/Suspension" the insurance company wrote off my Car (172 3y old).

Good Luck either way

prey the insurance cough up and thank the god of FUBARs that youve got insurance to cover it all. also think your self lucky you didnt have your arms crossed across the wheel, as this would have been painful having your watch and arm blown / punch you in the face at 60mph! thats why they tell you not to cross your arms! :devilish:
