Trophy #229: The Diary

Nice to see updates on this Mike :) Really wish I hadn't seen the picture of that food though I'm already starving! Shame about the sachs but I bet it will be transformed after :) We need to organise another Yorkshire karting session soon was a good laugh!

We do, I might organise one in August sometime.

Is yours road legal atm? I remember Matt@TDF saying it was designed to be. If so would love to see it at a meet :)

Sounds like a plan mate :)!

No unfortunately not :( you're right though it was designed to be but it was too much of a compromise unfortunately, It did one trip into Leeds and that was it! I could always trailer it to one lol!

I thought that looked familiar! Had this as my desktop photo for about a year after visiting that road!

Finally got my Sachs back today, so built them up with the sportlines I got from Kam.

Also put a coat of ACF-50 on to help with the rust.

Then had to fit them, in the rain. I was determined to get it done today as I had booked the day off special.

I set the camber myself to -1.5deg, not sure if I did it right but they both look like they have the same amount of -ive camber which is a start!

As suspected my alignment is now out though :( so I'll need to get that sorted after the F1 this weekend.

Some photo's finished, it definitely looks lower on the sportlines, and it rides a lot better on them. I've not fitted the rear sportlines yet, probably should before it gets aligned but it's too wet atm.

I (foolishly) gave my private plate away with the RB, but I now want it again, the current owner mentioned it the other day and I'm just waiting for her to get back to me.

If I don't get it back I might get a trophy plate. I was going to bid on some at the next auction but the amount you actually pay on top of the sale price is ridiculous tbh, so I'm not going to.

Cant believe you left it on your old car. Id be gutted if i lost my plate.

Car looks stunning like. I want a trophy spoiler for my bean.

What roof rack / cycle carriers you got ?

I am gutted, a foolish moment :(

I've got the renault roof rack and thule 532 carriers.

Just interested in what made you go for the Eibachs over the MF spring?

P.S Where did you get your number plate from?

The sportlines were cheaper, I got them just before the price increase a few weeks ago. And I don't think the MF setup improves over these unless you're a hardcore track day hero. So for me this is a better package.

Little update!

Just over a week ago my new wheel came:

Still really chuffed with it. Today I fitted a ph1 stalk so I have a working horn now too. I've missed the horn over the last few days after a couple of close calls where lorries have tried to reverse into me

I also went to CSS, and bonxy took a nice pic :)
