Turbo 1.4RT '''Help Needed'''

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2
Wanting a bit of advice:

I'm thinking about turning my 1.4RT into a 1.4RT turbo.

<>How much would this cost
<>Where would i get the kit
<>How easy would it be to do

I know a transplant would be an option but i want to keep it 1.4. Any advice or ideas people have would be appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

It would be a better idea to put a R5 GT Turbo engine in it which is also a 1.4 but is designed to take power of turbo!

Converting the Energy engine would be loads of hassle as you would mostly need custom parts.

I don't think a turbo kit exists for a 1.4 energy engine...

  R5gtt, 182, volvo...
no point bolting a turbo to that engine as its goona cost HUGE amounts of cash..... best of dropping in a 16v engine or getting a r5gtt engine dropped in... if set up right you can see a non bull sh1te 140bhp from only a few quids worth of effort.. with a few more choice parts and a set up 160bhp+ is possible with loads more torque, and thats what matters..

200bhp would be a dream away tho and costs big money to get....

Use the R5GTT 1.4 engine its much better and easier. otherwise you'll be doing custom work to make your ngine into a turbo it could be done but expensive and not as good as a GTT engine.
if you want to do a GTT conversion buy a whole GTT as you'll need a load of bits off it.
