Turtle Wax - ICE Clay Kit

Was looking at this today, have been quite impressed with the ICE stuff so far especially for the money compared to AG etc

Anyone used this or thoughts/opinions ?

Im guessing not as good as the spray and bar

All clays, apart from Bilt Hamber's, are made under trademark to a particular spec, so they are all mostly the same, with varying levels of strength.

It will be fine, but ultimately no better than the Megs Kit you can get from Halfords.

I'd recommend Sonus Green Clay and Dodo Juice Born Slippy lube - will be as good and a fair bit cheaper.

Is it cheaper bearing in mind the ICE stuff is £15 and for the Sonus etc I need to buy a spray aswell ?

Sonus bar is £7 I think.

The Born Slippy lube is £7, but if you buy the concentrate, you get enough to make up 2.5L of lube.

Most of these kits don't give you enough lube/QD, so only half of the bar is useful.

The Bilt Hamber clay is probably your best bet. Huge 200G bar.

Bloke who runs it makes his own wax too - Dodo Rubbish Boy Juiced Edition I think it's called. Top stuff.

Oh and he's the only retailer with stock of the clay.

The clay comes in two types - normal and soft. The 'soft' is £1 more, but it's a LOT easier to use.

sonus green does pretty much sweet FA ! dont get any of that, the yellow stuff from CYC is fantastic, removes contaminants but doesnt leave loads of marks

The Megs quick clay full smooth kit thingymagig is available on the bay for less than £20 delivered IIRC.

Picked some of that ICE stuff up so will see how it goes!

Has anyone actually tried the ICE Liquid clay though? It's liquid that settles into 3 layers which you have to shake up before use.

As with everything the blurb on the back makes it sound amazing and like it does everything you would want all in one bottle!

So has anyone used it and if so, opinions?

company called rally design stock bilt hamber stuff too. tried the polish stuff on my black clio the other day and its come up beautiful and really deep colour. will clay it next week then polish again and see if theres much difference.

I still say Bilthamber for £23 you get there Heavy and Soft clay and all you need is water no expensive Detail Spray !
