Two lambda sensors sniffing the same air?

Car  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
In my infinite wisdom i thought a decat would be a good idea on my 02 172 and asked a local garage to it whilst doing other exhaust work. Now I underneath the car and see two sensors... What's this going to do to the fuel mixture and the engine in the long term? The garage say 'na don't worry about it' .. and Renault say 'we wouldn't recommend removing the cat...'(usual offical line). Any thoughts? Cheers!

Your best bet is to search the thousand and one threads on here about de-cats and sensors.

It'll answer your query.

I have heard that 172 and de-cats work well together when talking about sensors. So nothing to really worry about.

Failing that call YozzaSport, BBPerformanceTuning, GDI all of which advertise on here.

Just unplug the second sensor and tape up the connectors so they don't touch.
Then you'll have no problems.

all the 2nd sensor does is monitor the CAT, its the primary sensor that does the engine control
