Tyre choice\cost

Not driven on a set of R888's, R1R's or V70A's, the 172 cup I've got only does track work and the pirelli p zero nero's fitted will only last 2-3 more track days. Would like to get either R888's, R1R's or V70A's but for the cost (got 16" Speedlines) difference will I see a big improvement in grip\tyre performance to match the >£40 per corner price increase, would the move up be worth it.

Cheers

Out of those my favourites are the V70s. Their grip and "sharpness" in dry conditions a good step up over any road tyre. Also semi slick will last better on track than normal tyres. So yes for me esp for a track car they more than worth it.

  PH1
Last time out on the track we tried some Federal FZ201's as a replacement for 888's and they were really good on both my PH1 and a friends PH2, they felt as good if not better than the Toyo's:cool:

only driven my old 106 on both road and track tyres, they make a huge difference to grip level and there for a faster lap time but if its just for fun i think i would have to stick to the cheaper road tyres.
