Tyre Choice

Just to through a spanner in the works. Has anyone ever tried using different tyres on front to those on rear?

In most disciplines for handling purposes, this is the norm as they do different jobs. Fronts have to steer for example where as the rears dont. So tread design etc should be based on the demand of the tyre.

i have bridgestones on the front (good in dry)

and uniroyal rainsports on the back (good in wet)

this gives me, understeer in the wet, nice and safe

oversteer in the dry, nice and entertaining

seems a good combo althou i did reach it by mistake lol
