Tyre profile differences...

So im needing 4 new tyres soon and id prefer T1-Rs. However they dont come in the size my original Conti's are (185/60/15). What would be the difference in going for 185/55/15 or 195/50/15? Anything wrong with this?

you should pick up a tyre that has the closest overall diameter to the original, I'm guessing 195/55 r 15 will be ok. don't go more than 195 in width as your stock rims won't cope with that very well

I'd go with 195/55/15. It's closer to the original wall height.

Thanks for the link. Camskill have an offer on T1-rs at the moment in that size.
Will the 55 profile on 185 be slightly higher than the stock tyres then?

If stock tyres are 60 profile, then 55 profile will be lower not higher.

I'd go for the 185/55/15, they're the same width and only slightly lower profile.

Which is why I said 195/55/15. There is only a couple of mm difference in the diameter.

Only other Toyos in 185/60 are CF-1s; anyone ever ran these?
