Got £120 to spent on 2 new front tyres as my exaltos are now at the end of there life.

Been looking about but so many minted reviews.

can anyone suggest the best option for the money I have ?

I have to exalto's which have a decent bit of life left for road use :) they are say in the shed......

EDIT: just seen your location! It'll be cheaper to buy some new tyres, lol

Conti's are a great road tyre, AD08's are fantastic for a road/track tyre. Hankook v12's are a good mid range tyre that hold up well in wet weather

I have some average Avon ZZ3's that are on the back and rather pi$$ if im being honest but once again there is still a good amount of tread on them and i cant afford to do all 4 tyres just now and i also have MOT at the end of the month.

I have the same problem- got budgets on the rears and they have 7mm of tread after 3 years FFS !!

The Avon is a shocking tyre had it on the fronts of mine and I nearly crashed it due to massive understeer on a wet road(and I wasn't even driving fast) never again!

just go for the 2 fronts anything but Avon

I had the exact same problem, going round a roundabout at a normal speed or around 20mph and the understeer was crazy.
The Avon is the worst tyre i have ever had so im going to get 2 good ones for the front this month and match them with 2 new rears next month to split the cost

Vredesteins at that budget.

Pirellis will go over budget i believe. You'll need around £140+ for proper high performance tyres.

They're okay when new, but anything more than half worn and you'll see what I mean.

Mine were fine even right on the tread markers but mine wernt AD08s, so maybe my semi slicks are better in the wet.

But yeah, never going to be as good as a normal high performance road tyre but there dry grip makes up for it.

How are you finding them? Not heard many reviews yet

Excellent! Great dry grip and wet grip.

Not stupidly grippy, nice and progressive and can still have fun on them if you want haha!

I saw approx 8k out of the fronts then they were pretty much on the wear markers. Rears still look pretty much like new.

Great value for money in my opinion.

Surely put the new rubber on the back:

A) Mainly in the wet it will just be understeery instead of snap oversteer
B) You'll wear the budgets out more at the front, so when you change the other two you'll have more tread on all four premium tyres.

As you're on a budget buy part worn with nearly new levels of tread on. I have neros on mine for about £180 for all 4 (inc fitting) with 7mm tread on each :) much better value for money.

I bought them from separate auctions but they come up so regularly it would take no more than a week to get a pair. I just build them up in the garage so when it comes time to replace them I've got them ready and cheap :)

I have the Uniroyal Rainsports on the front of mine - can't fault them they have been good in wet and dry and even did a full track day!

My Uniroyals melted at Bedford however it was 30+ that evening! Great for the winter but the tread is far too deep to push hard in the dry however all round good tyre for the money.

Lol I bet. what you trying next?

Not sure, got R1Rs on the front now and NS2Rs on the rear currently.

Wouldn't mind trying Bridgestone RE002 next, seeing how they perform.

I'm glad they are all quite cheap lol!
