Conti's are a great road tyre, AD08's are fantastic for a road/track tyre. Hankook v12's are a good mid range tyre that hold up well in wet weather
I have some average Avon ZZ3's that are on the back and rather pi$$ if im being honest but once again there is still a good amount of tread on them and i cant afford to do all 4 tyres just now and i also have MOT at the end of the month.
I have the same problem- got budgets on the rears and they have 7mm of tread after 3 years FFS !!
The Avon is a shocking tyre had it on the fronts of mine and I nearly crashed it due to massive understeer on a wet road(and I wasn't even driving fast) never again!
just go for the 2 fronts anything but Avon
I had the exact same problem, going round a roundabout at a normal speed or around 20mph and the understeer was crazy.
The Avon is the worst tyre i have ever had so im going to get 2 good ones for the front this month and match them with 2 new rears next month to split the cost
Are AD08's any good in the wet?
How are you finding them? Not heard many reviews yet
I have seen these 205/45/R16 83W FR TL Uniroyal RainSport 2 at a cost of £62.00 Including VAT

Surely put the new rubber on the back:
A) Mainly in the wet it will just be understeery instead of snap oversteer
B) You'll wear the budgets out more at the front, so when you change the other two you'll have more tread on all four premium tyres.
Excellent! Great dry grip and wet grip.
Not stupidly grippy, nice and progressive and can still have fun on them if you want haha!
I saw approx 8k out of the fronts then they were pretty much on the wear markers. Rears still look pretty much like new.
Great value for money in my opinion.
Do you work in devon? Jesus you rake up the miles!
I swear you only got them tyres a couple months ago...
I have the Uniroyal Rainsports on the front of mine - can't fault them they have been good in wet and dry and even did a full track day!
Lol I bet. what you trying next?
They're good in normal rain/wet weather, but any standing water you need to be cautious.
