Tyres rubbing on wheel arch

  172 Exclusive

Hi

I noticed a scraping noise whilst driving home the other day.

When I stopped to have a look I saw that there was a hole in my drivers side wheel arch and a bit of plastic hanging down from in-between the wheel arch and the bumper.

I fastened the plastic as best I as I could so I could make my way home for a better look.

It looks like my tyre may have been catching on full lock and broken the plastic cover between the wheel arch and the bumper

The hole in the wheel arch

the broken bit underneath

the passenger side (how i guess its supposed to look)

So anyone got any ideas as to how much it will cost, and is a job that could easily be done?

Cheers

This happened to me, and the dealer replaced the arch liners under warranty (nice of them as Id done it by whacking a cone on a trackday). I gather its quite a common thing though - so it may have been caused by a stone or something breaking the liner.
