UDM on the way...tips?

  SLK 350
Ordered this last night, got the pack including the pads and Sonus products and just looking for any tips before I take it to my Inferno for a detailing session, looking forward to seeing how Inferno looks after one of these has been over it :)

Anyway, advice welcome on both techniques or other equipment/products I'll need (I know about transformer etc).

Kit includes:
  • Ultimate Detailing Machine Model 1000 Car Polisher (110 volt)
  • Sonus SFX-1, SFX-2 and SFX-3 6" Foam Polishing Pads (1 each)
  • Sonus SFX-1, SFX-2 and SFX-3 Car Polishes (8 ounces each)
  • Sonus Microfiber Buffing Bonnets and Polishing Towels (2 each)
  • Ultimate Detailing Machine 4.75" Velcro Backing Plate
  • Ultimate Detailing Machine Canvas Carrying Bag
  • Ultimate Detailing Machine User's Guide
  • 1-Year Replacement Warranty (applies to polisher)

All in the prep, I.e the wash and clay before hand. Take your time taping up and start on a big panel like the bonnet or roof. Check out the videos that are on here of techniques.

Oh and remain patient as its possibly the dullest thing ever lol.

lol, well figured I'll see how I get on, used it on the family cars and see if I can perfect it. Got a T reg black Escort on the drive that shall be my test bed.

If it's not my cuppa I'll sell it.

Its a lot or work and you need to keep up your regime AND accept swirls will come back no matter what.

If you can accept that, then you'll be fine.
