ultimate and stp

filled the car up to the neck today with bp ultimate. was having a walk around halfords and bought some of the stp...promising increased octane rating etc etc... Have stuck that in along with the ultimate to see what happens...not really expecting a lot but will wait and see... any other petrol heads tried this stp stuff before??? any noticeable difference?

The ultimate will need a few tanks before you notice any difference. Even then it will probably only idle better and have a little more response on acceleration.

I can't see octane booster doing anything as the car will not be mapped for it.

I only ever put £30 a pop in my tank as Im sure the extra it can take gets used up quicker carrying around the extra fuel. Get approx 260-270 miles urban out of £30 and only like 300 out of £40? How does that work, when a tenner usually get me between 80-100 miles?

Are you buying your fuel from the Canary Islands

I get 270-300 from a full tank (£40++) with a mixture of Urban/Semi urban.

I thought my driving was sensible lol.
