Update on the tce

Thought it was about time I updated some pics on here, I've had a bad time with the Clio at present as some of you know who I was convoying with down to fcs, my new coilovers decided to at up and then when fitting my new wheels one blew out but lucky I was coming to a stop and few other bits but anywhos coilovers - fitted, new spacer/adapters - fitted, wheels - fitted other bits still to go on, here's some pics

And how it looks at the min still with camber shims to go on the rear and a little bit more wound down

Thanks to Matt who owned the black one with the pink wheels on for the custom rear springs saved me waiting around
I'm still uncertain if it will stay like this but we will see if it grows on me, excuse the crappy iPhone pics

There's no way near enough spacage/lows on the car to pull the wheels off, there's also no point in putting camber shims on it until the wheels dont actually fit in the arch!

Wheels need to come out much more, and loose the red, maybe for a Matt silver finish?

You've got the idea, just pulled off wrong.

Those wheels need some rubber stretched on and more poke!

And did and of use read what I put it's goin lower than what it is but I have a lot of speed bumps to contend with plus them spacers are also adapters for the wheels, plus as said needs to be seen the pics are useless it's low enough, it scrapes along the floor as it is, if your saying the wheels are red then that's how bad the pic is the wheels are orange with the same colour rim n centre caps as the car

And yes I can read, I presumed you had put photos up for people's honest opinions rather than just to achieve an Internet bumming

To be fair to you, if you just put some more spacers on there with that height it'll still look alright! IMO its not all about being as low as you can go as it then looks broken, for me its about 'fitment'.

Chuck some 25mm hubcentrics on it all round, then bolt of the adaptors onto that. It sounds and probably is pikey but it seems in that scene from what i've seen unless you spend thousands on a specific fitment of wheels adding on a few spacers does the job!

They sold me 25mm spacer/adapters and that's what's been achieved, so you reckon go for another 25mm spacer to go with them sounds good to me and yeah it's a little bit broken underneath but only the plastic covering, yeah not a big fan of the Internet bumming lol, I want peoples opinions it just I've spent a fair bit getting the wheels, adapters and coilovers and then having trouble with them and now I'm scouring the Internet looking for more spacers lol

I'm sure Rob or Adam172 (don't recall which) were talking / looking at having some custom spacers made, might be worth a search of their posts.

nice one mate will have a scout round ive just been told that ive bought the other d90's which are 7js and 8js, were as people tend to go for 8s and 9s but ahwell im sure i can make this work, ive got some orange stickers for rear windows and thinking of doing the wing mirrors orange, ill get this sorted

I'd go with selling what you've got and getting the 8/9's chap, saves having extra spacers and more dish I believe? Also will fit better in the arches as well!

that wouldnt stop me in the van. and thats lower when lifted than yours. your only going to waste money trying to make them work when you could get the wider ones that will work. just like the black mk3 that had the pink d90s

nice one mate and yeah as said its my car and tbh pics do not do it justice thats being honest, i found out what the problem was i got ripped off i was told by rtec i bought 25mm spacers and turns out they are only 15mm so bigger spacers ftgdmfw, plus matt who used to own the mk3 on pink porkies was running 9js on rear with 20m spacer so if i go 25 on my 8j im there

bothered. lol. you wont get the look you want with out going lower. glasgow has some of the worsed speed bumps. i cant even get on the ramp at work, 4 poster is a bigger challenge. car has potential.

still best with 8 n 9s imo
