upgrade 172 cup speakers front & back

the wife is telling me this morning she wants all the speakers upgraded front & back . im going to buy a new head unit but dont want to install amps & subs , but still would like a nice sweet sound any idea`s she said something that when she turns the tunes up the speakers wont crackle lol

I replaced my front speakers with JBL componet speakers and fitted some JBL 6x9 in the back No more crackling and im happy with the quality

Does the cup have the same stereo as the normal 172?

I tried replacing the back speakers before i put in the 6x9 and it didnt give me the results i was after, maybe could have found some more powerful speakers but i gave in and fitted the 6x9

get a decent set of components up front and co-axials in the rear speaker position, 13cm all round

I'd have to disagree with you here.. Spend as much as you can afford on the components in the front and then spend the rest on the co-axs for the rear!

matt i cant be arsed to remove dash to change tweeters so can i just change door speakers upgrade then get rear speakers in place of the old one`s ?
