upgrading my trophy

I'd go for the trackday and tuition option.

When I get a 1*2 i'm going to book a trackday with tuition to try to learn how to maximise its potential. The trophy is the best handling standard Mk2 Clio so you already have a huge advantage.

If you want to go down the route of physical upgrades then i'd go for:

Matched inlets
Remap
Orbisound or Yozzasport exhaust with decat
Maxogen

Finish it all off with a set of 4 pots, set of new PE2's all around for road use and if you like a bit of track work then a spare set of lightweight alloys wrapped in R888's.

upgrade discs pads and lines. solid top mounts, strut braces
matched inlets, maxogen, cams, yozza exhaust custom map
silvervisions job done

I think trendlines are pants personally, cushioning way too soft. sat in them before but went with misanos instead as they sat a lot lower and the firm support mean you could drive hundreds of miles without even stopping and get out fresh as a fiddle.

You don't need 4 pots and big discs, it's just adding unsprung mass.

All you need are standard calipers in good order with a decent steel disc and good pad material.

For that money, if you really want it to simply go faster and you're content with the rest of the car, I'd suggest a progressively controlled nitrous oxide kit from wizards of nos and get some forged pistons.

I can say no more in case you start on my welding ;-) You manage form and function - I pick one from the above LOL
