Upper and lower inlets

  CLIO RS CUP
Just a quickie. I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Are the ph1 and ph2 ones identical and therefore interchangable. I have a cup and I am looking for a spare setof inlets to "match" and wanna know I'm buying the right thing.

Please can some one advise me :) thanks in advance

There are definitely differences.

Lower are all interchangeable IIRC. You have RS stamped and non stamped. Non stamped being earlier and slightly worse match.

Upper is where the real differences lie. 172 and 182 have different breathing. There may be a difference between 172 ph1 and 172 ph2 I'm not sure...

matching the upper to the lower is half of what needs doing, matching the lower to the head is the other half. Lower only isn't the whole job

Hows is that actually done then?

Assuming the heads ports are larger than the inlets? or is it a case of head off too and get that done?
