Uprated Brakes ??

I recently had my wheel bearings done and the mechanic warned me that i would need new discs and pads to pass the mot, Although i did almost found out the hard way with a nice courier deciding to slam on . But anyway as i only have a 1.2, the only way i keep up with mates cars is round corners, therefore would you recomend getting better uprated brakes or jus leave it for cheaper ones to pass the mot ??

Rear brakes on clios hardly do anything, even on the RS, save your cash and just get Renault items tbh. Uprate the front pads if anything.

Well the back is just a drum, so it is just the front 2 that need doing.

I read rear brakes for some reason, in that case uprate the fronts if they need to be changed, lol

Well was looking at gettin the ferodo pads but not sure, Anybody had any xperience with these ??

Get valver calipers and disks mate, a million times better than what you currently will have.

What car do you have the MNk1 1.2 has small 239mm diks same as the R5 Gtt has but has small calipers as well chnaging for the valver etc calipers will give a bigger pad areas and force but realy stock brakes are fine realy so long as your using decinet pads and fluid etc

ferrodo do many diferent compound pads but the commonly sold one is a copy cat part which is the same part which is fitted to the standard car new sometimes

Scrap yards etc the same calipers are used on most of the mk2 phase 2 cars (except a few early 1.2 16V and most 1.2 8V's) as well as the lager engined (not the 2.0 model) Mk2 phase 1
