URGENT HELP NEEDED! Rear window demister

Cleaning my gf's car today and shes been saying the rear demister isnt that great so thought Id make double sure the window was sparkling. Whilst cleaning it I tapped the connecter, literally, and it fell off!

Whats the best way of regluing it to where it should be but also making sure it still conducts the electricity. Shes picking it up tomorrow and would like it done well before then!

No idea what you've done but to ensure the electricity flow just solder it?

can u use a soldering iron because that would give you the best connectivity failing that just use super glue buth make sure that the 2 metal ends are touching

It looks like its been stuck on by reno!

Its the wee solid bit of metal taht carries the current to the rear heater elements

Ok will give it a bash, shame its a megane coupe and therefore hugely awkawrd to get at!

You cant solder it John, you will crack the screen with such localised high temp.

The contact can be glued back on, and the tape stuck down, then you can buy some high metal content repair paint made for the job, at Halfords or similar, this ensures the electrical continuity.

yes you can solder it the soldering iron will get nowhere near hot enough to crack a screen glass melts at some serious high temp soldering iron will not get that hot

LOL Brian, tahts what Im worried about! Will try the glue stuff, I remember halfords sold Silver paint like stuff for the actual lines
