Urgent help on alarm for clio...

Hi,

Does anyone know what alarm and immobiliserit is on my Clio 1.6i 16v (2000 plate)? I heard it was a Renault Silver Shield or something. Is it Thatcham approved at all and if so what class. thx!

CAT 1 I think and its the Cobra alarm.

Renault might have there own name for it.

At least in Finland renault fitted Cobra for my -03 1.6 16V.

silver sheild was the most commen alarm for your year of clio. cant remember if its made by sigma or cobra. think its cobra. thatchem 2 approved i think

silver shield is cat 2, (i.e the alarm part is not thatcham approved but the immobiliser is) and gold shield is cat 1, only know cos I opted gold shield form dealer on an 2002 clio dynamique. My gold shield was a sigma alarm. No idea about 2000 clios mate sorry.
